                                        Who We Are

The Friendship Art Club branched out from a group of Artitst in the 1980's that was called The Creative Art Guild. Founded in or near 1992, Friendship Art Club is a community of artists working side-by-side in a friendly environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth and friendship.  Gathering from the Bexar, Medina and Atascosa County we get together every Tuesday at the Church of Christ in Lytle Texas. On the Second Tuesday of the month is our business meeting where we plan future events including outings, art shows and our scholarship program benefiting the high school youth with a scholarship program. We also have a guest presentation for the betterment of the individual artist.

we would usually have a potluck during our month business meetings but since we are still dealing with the pandemic we  are cautious and bringing a sack lunch.

In September we have had a large Art Show and Competition at the Lytle Community Center where we award ribbons to the participating artist as well as the community High School Art Students. There are artisans that show and sale their work and is open for other artist wishing to participate. It is an all day celebration of Art and Community. Food is available as well. This year 2021 we have postpone this show but are hopeful that we will continue this in 2022.
